Stranger by kallielef
Stranger
“Half a hundred gods came with them, but there is one god all of them shared in common.” “Him of Many Faces.” “And many names,” the kindly man had said. “In Qohor he is the Black Goat, in Yi Ti the Lion of Night, in Westeros the Stranger. All men must bow to him in the end, no matter if they worship the Seven or the Lord of Light, the Moon Mother or the Drowned God or the Great Shepherd. All mankind belongs to him… else somewhere in the world would be a folk who lived forever. Do you know of any folk who live forever?” “No,” she would answer. “All men must die.”

Hello all!

July 31st-August 2nd I’ll be setting up shop at the Tampa Bay Comic Con Artist Alley!

For the Artist Alley I’ve been working on a series of “cards” based around GoT/ASoIaF, a smaller series of work dedicated to fantasy film, and other fandom art.

My question for you all is 1. What would you be interested in seeing as far as other fandoms are concerned? (ie. Avengers, Vikings, Sherlock) and 2. If I were to have leftover prints from the con, would anyone be interested in purchasing prints through me? There will be some really nice high quality signed prints and booklets along with one or two limited edition prints on pressed watercolor paper (also signed and numbered).

Also, I will be taking traditional On the Spot commissions while at TBCC. More information coming soon.

If you have any questions or comments, you can leave them below or message me here through dA. Thanks very much!tumblr npa74bEHmI1s23fdao1 1280 by kallielef

Randomly found you via the front page and I'm very inspired! I love your linework and how you draw humans (something I really struggle with). Watched!

I need to do some Jaime/Brienne soon. Thank you again so much for the kind and thoughtful words. I think there are many, including myself who agree with you about GoT's SanSan. It was almost painful to have them even play with the idea, and with two actors who are so far apart in age it just was.....uncomfortable. I think that's why when I started reading the books, I was able to start playing with my own head canon of Sansa and Sandor (keeping Rory's voice though because, hello!) Thank you thank you, there will be more I can guarantee it!

Yes please! <3 and you're totally welcome, man. I ADORE Rory McCann and he makes a great Hound in his own right, but he's still a very different creature from the book form. Yeah, even the singing scene would've been awkwardly creepy with the casting. His wonderful dynamic with Arya somewhat makes up for the loss of Sansan though haha. I didn't enjoy GoT's season 5 much and I've been pretty mortified at the turns they've made Sansa take in the show lately - I really hope they stop tossing her around as a torture toy and pawn and let her lead her own story for once... she's the only wolf with no teeth, and it's about time that came to an end after all of this - as so many of us were sure that was happening at the end of Season 4.

Out of curiosity, what do you think about Sandor's fate where he was left off? (book and show. I know GRRM dropped potential hints..)

I got to present him with some fan art at a con two years ago, and was definitely impressed by his Sandor esque stature, but otherwise he felt more like a Great Jon or Hodor kind of aura about him. But believe me, he was a great, great cast for Sandor. His voice is just perfect, the glare, the snare. He's just a bit older of course than book! Sandor, and I guess if I were to cast a Sandor he'd be more along the lines of a Richard Armitage meets Michael Fassbender meets Ron Perlman meets em, someone else. Either way, he was great.

Season 5 made me miss seasons 1,2, and 3 so much. God, that first and second season, the Blackwater finale...I mean there were just some really fantastic moments. Everything is so hush hush about the next season, but I do believe Sansa will finally get some kind of relief.

In the book? He's totally alive and still has a part to play, there's too much there that GRRM's left us to ache over. I think the biggest speculations are that Sandor will somehow end up back in Sansa's pack, be it as a protective figure, a lover, a confidante, a redeemer...One or two of those?

Show wise? I do think there's a big possibility he'll be return (the artist whose been doing those "death" pieces for everyone offed on the show hasn't included one for the Hound which I found funny). Also, Rory was super hush hush in interviews post "death". Something is coming. I think if he does return, Sansa will definitely be involved, possibly Arya as well? I just don't know how he'll return to Westeros.
